Full Job Description

  • Getting to know your clients, and their interests and needs


  • Giving emotional and practical support to your clients


  • Assisting with personal care (washing, toileting, dressing) domestic household tasks and food preparation.


  • Assisting with medication, use of mobility aids and personal equipment where required.


  • To report to the registered manager any significant changes in the health or circumstances of a client.


  • To encourage and enable our clients to remain as independent as possible whilst acting in their best interests and protecting and safeguarding their wellbeing.

  • The ability to work well with others


  • Patience and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations


  • The ability to accept criticism and work well under pressure


  • To be thorough and pay attention to detail


  • A desire to help people


  • Excellent verbal communication skills


  • To be able to carry out basic tasks on a computer or hand-held device

    Salary: £11.00 rising to £12.00 per hour after probationary period (3 months), plus travel time and mileage.


  • We currently have opportunities for both full and part-time Care and Support Workers or Care Professionals in Gillingham, Wincanton and the surrounding areas. We have availability between 7am-2pm, 4pm-10pm, and alternate weekends.
