Full Job Description
Responsible for delivering an enterprise-wide approach to the Business Management System compliance and improvement, and for technical aspects of projects within the QBI portfolio, across functions and/or business units. Positioned within the team focusing on strategic projects the assignments are predominantly mid-term to longer-term duration, however some involvement in short-term activities should be expected too.
This role line-reports into the Cyber Space & Training Quality Manager
Main Duties:
- Scope capture and requirements definition to ensure end-user needs are aligned with the direction of the BMS FMA plan.
- Project manage to full operating capability and ongoing improvement plans to ensure that the workload demand from the projects is adequately resourced.
- Project manage definition and monitoring of Risks & Opportunities in relation to the BMS management and improvement
- Progress tracking against milestones and deliverables, this may involve either waterfall or agile methodologies or a combination of both
- Workshop leadership of cross-functional teams consisting of subject matter experts
- Transition of ownership through the process owners network into Business-As-Usual handover.
- Process modelling / mapping, reviews and release to live environment. Provide initial training, coaching and support for users of the process management platform
- Plan and manage consolidation and standardization of Stages and COMPASS toolsets and drive to minimize procedures / maximise reuse and process maps
- Investigation and selection of tools and techniques that may benefit the delivery of the projects, including business case inputs
- Benefits identification, tracking and management to enable clear articulation to stakeholders
- Stakeholder / Sponsor engagements across the business to ensure they are on-board with the assigned projects
- Project manage communications packages in preparation for distribution / publication
- Ongoing technical development of tools and subject matter expertise to support FMA
- Development of Power BI, Microsoft Forms and Automated process flows and other quality management toolsets.
- Development of CORE Control Towers, automated data feeds and reports.
- Act as Root Cause Corrective Action subject matter expert to assist functional leads with audit findings.
- Close interaction with CST quality team for management of CI events
Experience leading improvement projects, workshops and reviews with project teams - Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels. A key aspect to this is to be an excellent listener.
- Ability to work within a small core team, but also with an extended matrixed team with functional stakeholders and process owners / SME's
- Prior experience of process modeling / mapping
- Demonstrates openness and honesty leading to a high level of trust, confidence and respect.
- Adaptable, innovative and tenacious attitude to seeking the right route to getting the job done, challenging the norm in an appropriate manner
- Previous experience in similar role(s)
- Eligible for, or holder of current, SC security clearance
- Degree educated in a relevant and applicable field, or equivalent read-across qualifications & experience
- Thorough understanding of business operations and the associated processes & systems
- Customer Oriented Results & Excellence (CORE) Champion /Six Sigma / Continuous Improvement certification
- Technical / Engineering qualification and background
- Related professional body membership(s)
- Experience in highly regulated environments
