Full Job Description

  • Supporting children with a range of SEN to keep them engaged in the classroom.

  • Encourage the development of the student's social skills.

  • Work 1:1 and in small groups with students, providing reading and maths sessions.

  • Adapt teaching methods and resources to suit the unique learning styles of each student.

  • Monitor student progress, providing regular feedback to parents and staff.

    Previous experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar behavioural mentor role is highly advantageous.

  • Must have a enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to get one ( 46).

  • Strong understanding of special educational needs and the challenges that students with SEN may encounter.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.

  • Compassion, patience, and a genuine commitment to making a difference in the lives of students with SEN.
