Full Job Description

Maintain, repair, and overhaul internal and external aircraft battery assemblies, subassemblies, and components under direct supervision in accordance with Bombardier specifications.,

  • Acquire and use fundamental knowledge of methods, approaches, instruments, supplies, and/or machinery, as relevant to the field of expertise.

  • Repair mechanical and electrical assemblies and subassemblies by removing, fixing, or replacing damaged parts and/or fabricating new ones. Installations must be done by vendor documentation, component maintenance manuals, verbal instructions, engineering dispositions, on-the-job training (OJT), and other approved maintenance data.

  • Assemble and run the required test apparatus under specifications. Create the necessary documentation to carry out operational and functional tests and inspections on aircraft electrical and mechanical parts to bring them back to a usable condition.

  • Verify that all detail components meet conformance standards by inspecting them using drawings, component and/or overhaul manuals, and other necessary maintenance data.

  • Compile and use all necessary documentation under FAA, CAA, and EASA Repair Station specifications.

  • Keep the test apparatus and accessories in a neat and organised work environment.

  • Adhere to all legal and corporate requirements on environmental health and safety.

  • Encourage, initiate, and participate in an atmosphere of ongoing Continuous Improvement (CI) projects.

    You can locate and install/reinstall parts, remove aircraft batteries and other related "C-5" rated components, and route to the workshop.

  • You can carry out maintenance on the batteries on all Bombardier aircrafts regarding battery care and repair, read and comprehend the OEM and Bombardier component maintenance manuals.

  • You can use a variety of techniques and the appropriate authorization to repair electrical equipment and related electrical parts, components, and/or equipment.

  • You can determine the extent of maintenance required for electrical and wire assemblies as well as individual parts such as batteries.

  • You possess the ability to utilise proper repair techniques, such as equipment charging and discharging. Recognise and be able to show mastery in techniques like soldering, pinning, splicing wires, and applying protective coatings among others.

  • You know the fundamentals of battery-related physics and mathematics. Experience with avionic systems and/or aircraft battery production and/or fabrication is preferred
