Full Job Description

The post-holder will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Performance Oversight function work schedule and processes, ensuring timely delivery of performance oversight products that are both accurate and offer meaningful insights. The post-holder will utilise their experience to ensure the Performance Oversight function is identifying the organisations and the Systems performance challenges, providing leadership to the Oversight Programme Managers to work with subject matter expert ICB teams to understand the improvement actions being undertaken and the impact of that improvement work. With the Deputy Director of Oversight, the post-holder will develop effective operational policies and processes by identifying best practice in performance oversight techniques and conducting regular PDSA reviews on established Performance Oversight processes and reports. Using tools such as the agreed Kent and Medway ICB Performance Oversight Process, and improvement approaches such as A3 for
performance issues, the post-holder will be responsible for all performance oversight functions and develop a view, supported by evidence, of performance and effectiveness at all levels (ICB, Provider and Place) both for scheduled formal papers, and responsible for the escalation of key performance challenges to the Director and Deputy Directors of Oversight on a routine basis. The post-holder will provide support and challenge to ICB teams regarding actions to manage and improve performance, and to evidence the impact of actions over time. The post-holder will lead on specific areas of performance challenge and conduct deep dives in conjunction with stakeholders as appropriate.
