Assistant Management Accountant

We are looking for a part qualified Assistant Management Accountant to join our team here at Walker & Son to support the business with detailed and accurate Weekly Accounts and reporting/challenge spend and improve efficiencies

• Business Partner key stakeholders ensuring strong commercial and operational decision making, managing financial risks and opportunities


• Accounts preparation and presentation to stakeholders


• PIP control and monitoring - operations


• Support operational cost control


• Support the production of the weekly trading accounts, accurately and within tight deadlines:

+ Calculation of & understanding of weekly materials:
+ Calculation of & understanding of weekly labour costs
+ Reconciliation of standard labour costs
+ Labour rate variances
+ Labour efficiency variances

• Weekly reporting packs - Thoroughly reviewed and reconciled


• Maintenance of Power Bi Reports and take the lead on creating new reports


• Ensure financial controls, processes and disciplines are all in place and adhered to


• External audit support as required

• Part Qualified/finalist CIMA/ACCA


• Understanding of/background in manufacturing
