Full Job Description

As Assistant Framework Manager (Buildings) you will be assisting the Framework Manager in the delivery of projects and maintenance across the ports building portfolio. The port has approximately 300 buildings that fall within Frameworks scope of works. Within the role you will deputise as Project Manager from the Framework Manager for the small works projects and will be required to Project Manage multiple small works at any one time across the framework.

You will coordinate and direct several Framework Engineers, Framework service partners and other professional staff to deliver within the following areas: planned preventative maintenance, reactive maintenance and small works projects. These areas could either be Landside or Marine side buildings.

Together with the Framework Manager you will administer the contractual and commercial aspects of the framework contract. You will also scope, plan, deliver, communicate, and audit the undertaking of all works under the Framework alongside our Framework Partner, our in-house Engineering team & other Port Stakeholders.

  • HNC/ONC level or above in either an M&E engineering-based discipline or Construction-based discipline

  • Experience with supervision or leading within a building services environment

  • Experience in the planning and delivery; of buildings related small works, planned maintenance, building inspections and reactive maintenance

  • Experience using Microsoft Word and Outlook. Good experience working in Excel and a good understanding of Project Planning tools

  • Understanding of Tendering and Contract Administration along with a good level of cost and budget management.

  • Demonstrable understanding of CDM Regulations and relevant Health & Safety legislation

  • Full UK driving licence and use of own vehicle
