Asphalt Plant Assistant

We are currently seeking an Asphalt plant Assistant to be based in our Pembroke Dock depot. This is based in an industrial estate (not a quarry). You will report directly to the plant operator and have the ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

You will be required to help with the day to day duties at the plant, be able to operate the asphalt plant to cover holidays, and use the loading shovel to fill the bins in both the asphalt plant and our concrete plant in the same depot.

Responsibilities include:

- Operate and maintain a loading shovel

- Perform tasks such as loading vehicles and moving materials using the equipment.

- Operating the asphalt tar plant (after being trained to do this)

- You will ensure that stocks are maintained and replenished in good time.

- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment.

- Ensure high standards of housekeeping of the plant.

The role will require a can do attitude, a flexible approach to tasks and desire to work as part of a team, a commitment to health and safety, working with other members of the team to ensure that customers get good quality material and on-time deliveries.
