Full Job Description
- Testing of high voltage power supplies to specification requirements.
- Completion of test reports and documentation in accordance with customer requirements and in line with the Quality Management System standards.
- Upgrading and modification of assemblies and finished product.
- Interpretation and implementation of changes to assemblies and finished product in accordance with documentation.
- Identifying product quality and performance issues and raising appropriate non-conformances.
- Liaising with Design Engineering, Test Equipment Design and Sales in support of meeting customer requirements and finished product quality and performance.
- Responsibility for adhering to the Company's ISO 9001 Quality, ISO14001 Environmental and Health and Safety management systems.
- Test product by following test procedures accurately and meeting standard times.
- Use test equipment such as oscilloscopes, function generators, digital power supplies and multi meters.
- Understanding high voltage test methods.
- Soldering and rework methods to IPC standards.
- Working in a lean manufacturing facility.
- Use of MS Office.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills., Diligent application to study the AME route on day release and within company time to achieve a successful outcome with qualification.
- Diligent application of learning in the workplace to demonstrate the learning and knowledge gained.
- Attending regular monitoring review meetings with appointed training officer.
- Gathering a portfolio of on the job learning and work evidence to meet the needs of the apprenticeship programme and End-point Assessment.
- Satisfactorily completing assignments and consolidating the training and work undertaken in the time frame agreed.
- Manufacture (Assembly & Test) of production units.
- Applying a conscientious attitude in the workplace, contributing to the departmental goals and objectives.
- Ensure familiarisation and adherence to the Quality, Environmental and Health and Safety management systems including workmanship standards, static handling precautions and high voltage control measures.
- Keep informed and support EMS and improvement team activities and IS09001 - Quality and ISO 14001- Environmental requirements including lean initiatives.
- Work with other team members to continuously improve quality and processes.
- Responsibility for adhering to the Company's ISO 9001 Quality, ISO14001 Environmental and Health and Safety management systems.
- Level 2 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Foundation Competence)
- Level 3 Diploma or Extended Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Knowledge)
