Full Job Description

  • Working on planned preventative maintenance on manufacturing/support machinery.

  • Fault-finding and repairing breakdowns.

  • Assisting with plant modification and installations.

  • Understanding of energy conversion processes to maintain optimal production levels.

  • Risk assessing all jobs within a strict Health and Safety environment.


  • The training you will be getting

    Maintenance & Operations Engineering Technician Apprenticeship Level 3 and Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Diploma Level 3.

    This apprenticeship will give you the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to work as a Maintenance & Operations Engineering Technician. You will also work towards the Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Diploma and produce a portfolio of evidence on which the End-Point Assessment (EPA) technical interview will be based.

    A flexible model of delivery is available based on the employer's needs and can include an optional Level 2 Advanced Manufacturing Engineering.

    Successful achievement of the End-Point Assessment (EPA) will lead to final certification of the apprenticeship. The assessment, with an independent assessor, will comprise of:
  • Knowledge assessment (multiple-choice paper) - apprentices will complete a standardised scenario-based knowledge assessment consisting of 30 multiple-choice questions, taken under examination conditions.

  • Practical Assessment - the apprentice will demonstrate core and specific knowledge, skills and behaviours on actual plant and equipment in a realistic work situation.

  • Technical Interview - the interview will be based on the contents of the evidence portfolio, which is compiled throughout the apprenticeship and finalised during the end-point assessment period.

    Urea and urea-based Diesel Exhaust Fluids such as AdBlue® are central to tackling the emissions generated in transport, industrial and marine applications, as they reduce both Nitrogen Oxide and Sulphur Oxide. Since 2015, Noxdown has been producing and supplying VDA (German Automobile Association) approved AdBlue®, AUS40 and other bespoke urea solutions to a variety of industries. Our products are sold in bulk, IBC containers and barrels at competitive prices. We manufacture at our production facility in Pocklington and deliver right across the UK.
