Full Job Description

  • assisting in the post-processing of UAV data in a variety of point cloud, photogrammetric

  • Use CAD based software platforms.

  • creating 2D and 3D models based on survey data or design data supplied by clients for our cut/fill projects.


    • The training you will be getting

  • Design and Draughting skills, knowledge & behaviours - delivered in the workplace.

  • Level 3 BTEC in construction and the built Environment - Day release or remote delivery.

  • End Point Assesment - knowledge test, practical test and presentation/interview.

    Communication skills, Attention to detail, Problem solving skills, Team working, GCSE or equivalent English (Grade 5 or above) Essential

    • GCSE or equivalent Maths (Grade 5 or above) Essential, Software Used (please advise in your applications if you have experience of any of the following): AutoCAD, LSS, N4CE, Global Mapper, Trimble Business Centre, Bentley Context Capture, Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)

    We undertake Drone (UAV) surveys for a variety of civil engineering contractors and house builders throughout the country. We also compile detailed Cut/Fill volumetric analysis on construction sites and prepare 3d Machine Control data files for use in GPS equipped dozers and excavators.

    You could reduce your training time, or finish your apprenticeship faster, if you have relevant prior learning or experience. This could be relevant:
