Full Job Description

The Accounts Assistant is responsible for service charge accounting on behalf of clients. Key responsibilities and tasks include:

  • Receipting Service Charge and Ground Rent cheque/cash/BACS payments on Qube and preparing paying slips for banking

  • Recording of Admin Fees in relation to sales (e.g. LPE1 fees, Notice of Transfer fees etc)

  • Applying Bank interest/charges and miscellaneous receipts from daily bank report.

  • Bank reconciliations

  • Setting unsettled receipts

  • To generally assist with all other accounts admin related activities where necessary

  • Dealing with requests and queries from Property Managers and Management

  • Handling customer queries by telephone and email

    Candidates for this position should have the following skills and qualifications:

  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) with the ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders on all levels.

  • AAT Level 2 or 3 (ideally).

  • A positive and polite telephone manner.

  • Ideally a minimum of 2 years' experience in a busy accounts team.

  • Ideally some experience in the property sector.

  • Good time management skills and the ability to work on own initiative.

  • Excellent levels of accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Highly competent in MS Suite (Word/Excel/Outlook).
