As an Activity Assistant, you will work as a team alongside our community money guiders to support the session, including setting up, clearing away, answering questions from participants and gathering data about attendance, topics discussed, and other impact indicators.,

Deliver activities and events as part of the Talk About Money team

Participate in the staffing rota for holiday clubs and similar projects

Gather information about common financial concerns within the community

Promote our drop-in sessions and other relevant events

Track impact by recording attendee demographics and outcomes

Essential

Commitment to inclusion and empowerment

Confident interacting with people from diverse backgrounds, including children and vulnerable adults (enhanced DBS check will be carried out)

Experience working with children

Ability to travel within the Greater Manchester area (own vehicle not essential)

Good command of the English language (at minimum, CEFR level B1)

Right to work in the UK

Experience working with children with SEND

Childcare qualification level 2 or above

First aid certificate

This is a sessional role offered on a zero-hours contract basis and paid at £12 per hour. Holiday pay is paid on a rolled-up basis (equivalent to £1.45 per hour worked), with the option to move onto an accrual basis after two months' continuous employment.
