Full Job Description

We are a specialist welfare rights service, providing information and advice about the full range of welfare benefits and tax credits to staff, advisers and residents. Support for staff includes a full training programme, analysis of the impact of benefit changes and advice for council colleagues and front-line advisers. Services for residents are mainly delivered through a telephone advice line, but also include information and publicity, talks, work with partners on specific projects, and outreach sessions.

The Royal Borough of Greenwich as an employer offers a generous benefits package. The posts are offered on a hybrid basis and Woolwich is on the Elizabeth line making us easily accessible to central London.

The post is fixed term initially for 12 months. We would consider job share/part time for the right candidate.

Salary: Salaries advertised are for a standard working week of 35 hours unless otherwise stated. Please use this 'Salary Calculator to help you calculate a pro rata salary.
