Full Job Description

Due to rapid expansion, PitStop is seeking a highly motivated Pre-Production Assistant to join our growing Voiceover and Casting team at our Head Office in South Yorkshire.

The successful candidate will be required to support senior members of the team with exceptional organisational standards and bring fresh ideas to enhance our workflow. This is an entry-level role, and an ideal opportunity for someone who wants to progress their career to the next level of production management and professional standards in the entertainment industry.

You will be working within PitStop's team of 100+ passionate creatives based in South Yorkshire and London, across the Voice, Sound Design, Music and Visual departments who are working on a huge range of video game titles from Indie to AAA, so they can deliver amazing audio content to our worldwide clients across the videogames industry. We're looking for individuals who would thrive in this creative environment and contribute to the team.

This exciting opportunity would suit someone who is passionate about working in the videogames industry, self motivated, highly organised, and has an excellent working use of spreadsheets. There will be potential to develop and evolve the role as the department and company continues to grow, and implement new techniques and processes to really make the role their own.

  • Responsibilities

    The right candidate will be required to assist in the pre-production planning, and post-production organisation of voiceover recordings and model casting for computer games.

    This will include:
  • Assisting with the casting and booking of actors/models for projects

  • Liaising with talent agencies to check the availability of actors/models

  • Scheduling and booking actors, providing call sheets and prep scripts

  • Contracting actors (using Dropbox Sign)

  • Arranging and organising casting submissions

  • Assisting with travel organisation for actors

  • Supporting other members of the team with ad-hoc tasks when required

  • Preparing assets and documentation for recording and post-production

  • Tracking the progress of recording and post-production

  • Liaison with European and American Studios

  • Reporting production blockage issues to senior members of the team

  • Creative input on internal projects

  • Required experience and skills:

    Essential
  • Ability to organise and prioritise workloads

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Exceptional organisational and file management skills

  • Highly proficient with word processing and spreadsheet programs, specifically Excel and Google Sheets

  • Accuracy in mathematics

  • Understanding of the different genres/tones/styles of video games


  • Desirable
  • Experience of voice recording, post-production and editing

  • Previous experience in casting

  • Previous Project Management experience

  • An ear for good voice acting performance, A-Level or equivalent (preferred), Project management: 1 year (preferred)

  • Salary: £23,400

    Working hours: 9.30am - 6pm working Monday - Friday, with a one hour unpaid lunch break
