Full Job Description

The Technical Services Manager will be responsible for overseeing the mechanical and electrical (M&E) installations on office fitout projects on behalf of our clients. This role will require a strong understanding of M&E building services systems and installations, as well as project management skills to ensure successful project delivery. The candidate will be working as part of a M&E design consultancy.,

  • Project Management: working as part of the delivery team to support the project manger to oversee M&E installations on office fitout projects from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

  • Technical Oversight: Provide technical expertise and guidance on M&E installations, including HVAC systems, electrical wiring, lighting, and plumbing, to ensure compliance with building regulations and client specifications.

  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of engineers and subcontractors, assigning tasks, providing training and support, and ensuring efficient workflow and communication throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Client Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for clients regarding technical M&E installations, addressing any concerns or inquiries, and providing regular project updates and reports.

  • Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures to ensure the highest standards of workmanship and compliance with relevant industry regulations and standards.

  • Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to health and safety protocols and regulations on all project sites, conducting regular inspections and risk assessments to mitigate potential hazards.

  • Cost Management: Monitor project budgets, expenses, and resource allocation, identifying cost-saving opportunities and addressing any budgetary concerns to ensure projects remain financially viable.

  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and issues related to M&E installations and implement proactive measures to mitigate risks and resolve issues as they arise.

    Proven experience in managing technical M&E installations, preferably within the construction or consultancy industry.

  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines.

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage teams and engage with clients and stakeholders.

  • In-depth knowledge of M&E systems and installations, building regulations, and health and safety standards.

  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools for project management and technical analysis.
