Full Job Description

Sherwood Primary School is an outstanding two form entry Primary School. We are looking to appoint a highly committed teaching assistant to join our hardworking and dedicated team. The successful applicant will be expected to work with children delivering high quality interventions and work closely alongside our class teachers to support our children in the class.

The role includes working as a Higher level teaching Assistant for 1 day each week. This includes taking responsibility for the planning and delivery of an aspect of the Curriculum and assessing children's progress in this area.

Working hours are Monday to Friday 8.45-3.30pm. The position will be permanent. We welcome applications from candidates with experience in EYFS, KS1 or KS2. We provide Sherwood children with a vibrant curriculum and work closely with our families to support children's social and emotional needs. Our children work hard and show fantastic commitment to their learning and the life of our School. This position is part time, term time only, please note the salary quoted is full time equivalent. If successful the salary received will be paid on a pro-rata basis.

  • NVQ/BTEC Level 3 childcare qualification or higher qualification

  • English and Mathematics GCSE Grade C or above
