Full Job Description

We wish to appoint a talented and inspiring teaching assistant to join our team. Are you the person we are looking for?

Working pattern: To be confirmed. Additional hours may be available as and when required.

You will need to:

  • support the needs of children with SEN on a one to one and small group basis in KS1.

  • work closely with staff, parents and outside agencies.

  • be able to cater for the individual needs of the children and to use initiative based upon situations as they arise.

  • follow individual Care Plans as directed.

  • provide detailed feedback to the SENDCO, teacher and parents.

  • create supportive and trusting relationships with parents with an honest and open approach.


  • The successful candidate will also be passionate about children's learning and committed to working with and learning alongside other professionals.

    We seek candidates who can capture the imagination and interest of young learners and develop their skills and knowledge.

  • have experience of dealing with students on a 1:1 or small group basis.

  • be an outstanding classroom practitioner with a passion for learning

  • have high expectations of pupils' achievement and behaviour

  • be flexible and open to new ideas

  • fully support the ethos and aims of the school

    Salary: Grade 3, £2,569 - £2,655 per annum £11.78 - £12.18 per hour

    5 hours per week, term time working 38 weeks per year
