Join the Close Brothers Regulatory Reporting team where you will focus on the maintenance of a robust control environment for regulatory reporting, striving to deliver automation and optimisation. In addition, the role will own Pillar 3 disclosures, and relevant regulatory disclosures in the group's Financial Statements and other financial and regulatory reporting.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Regulatory Change & Control team and the Regulatory Policy team to ensure timely identification and implementation of regulatory policy and change, as well as the Capital Management team to ensure a cohesive link between regulatory reporting and capital management.,

  • Responsible for ensuring all prudential regulatory returns, including but not limited to COREP, liquidity and BOE, are submitted accurately and on time

  • Review and technically challenge the Regulatory Reporting team and ensure returns are submitted in line with relevant requirements and regulations

  • Work with the Regulatory Change and Control team to consolidate, enhance and automate existing regulatory reporting processes, including liaison with key stakeholders, in particular Finance, Risk and Treasury to ensure appropriate reviews are undertaken and sufficient challenge has taken place

  • Attend and input to the Horizon Scanning Forum and Assumption and Interpretation forum including the documentation and implementation of regulatory assumptions and interpretations

  • Responsible for accurate and timely production of all internal reports covering month end regulatory metrics against regulatory requirements and risk appetite (including but not limited to SMF briefing papers, Capital Adequacy Committee, ALCO, Board Risk Committee and Board)

  • Prepare and manage key capital, leverage, liquidity and other CRD IV disclosures in Interim and Annual Financial Statements, including preparation of key explanatory communications and reconciliations for senior management

  • Recruit, train and employ high calibre employees within budget, headcount levels and temporary resource requirements


  • Developing Our People: as a line manager, you will be responsible for inspiring and motivating your team, as well as developing performance through coaching. You will encourage your team to take responsibility for their own personal development and provide support through regular feedback.

  • Have prudential regulatory reporting experience and detailed knowledge of prudential regulations

  • Are advanced in Excel, Word and PowerPoint

  • Are a well organised self-starter

  • Have good written and oral communication skills

  • Like to collaboration in a team-oriented workplace preferred.

  • Have an Accounting qualification with significant post qualified experience


  • IT IS NOT ESSENTIAL BUT IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU:
  • Are educated to degree level or equivalent

  • Have Alteryx experience
