Full Job Description

The Regional Manager is an integral part of the Activate management team, with overall day-to-day responsibility for the delivery of a first rate, sector leading Activate Camps experience, across each of the camps in their specified region.

Reporting to the Programmes Operations Manager, Regional Managers are the link between central office, Operations, and Camp Managers.

Regional Managers will ensure the service and provision levels across all Activate programmes meet Activate's high expectations. They will also work to continuously improve the overall level of enjoyment for all on camp and ensure optimum customer relations with parents and site contacts. To achieve this, Regional Managers will work with and motivate camp managers and the coaching team at each of their sites, conducting site audits to asses the implementation, management and delivery of the camp.

Role and Responsibilities

Pre Camp:

  • Complete Activate Camps training ahead of camp.

  • Support the delivery of Camp Manager training webinars to seasonal staff.

  • Conduct a pre camp call with each camp manager and set up a central WhatsApp group with all of them.

  • Ensure any staffing concerns are discussed with a Camp Manager and passed onto the relevant Recruitment Lead.

  • During Camp Delivery:
  • Ensure each venue within your region is visited each week.

  • Audits and evaluations should be completed at all camps within your region, providing full feedback on areas of improvement and successes.

  • All Camp Managers within your region should receive an evaluation. If working multiple weeks, this should be repeated every two weeks.

  • Any staffing changes or concerns should be raised with your Recruitment Lead timely, allowing time for any changes to be made if necessary.

  • During registration hours, ensure you are available via telephone to support Camp Managers with any concerns or issues.

  • During camp visits, ensure all paperwork has been completed satisfactorily.

  • Take time to offer feedback to individual coaches, to improve their own personal delivery.

  • Support the process of investigating any complaints raised to Head Office or the Camp Manager, in the first instance.

  • React to any issues raised by a Camp Manager in a timely manner, passing onto Head Office if unable to resolve.

  • Post Camp Delivery:
  • Ensure all Camp Managers send a proof of their kit packed away in the correct bags.

  • Support Head Office with any kit movements, when requested.

  • Check all Camp Managers paperwork has been completed and sent to Head Office appropriately.
