Full Job Description

The UK Build North Business is looking for Quantity Surveyor's to join the team. We have positions available on a large Build scheme in Manchester. Working alongside the Project Director, the role will be working within & assisting the commercial & construction team to ensure a successful project is delivered, while maintaining relationships, maximising commercial returns and manage risk. The team are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking to make a step up to Senior Quantity Surveyor in the near future.,

  • Preparing tenders, analysing, selecting appropriate s/cs, negotiation & finalise s/c orders, financial & commercial management of s/cs to Final Account completion.

  • Managing and reporting of forecasts, target, reconciliations, site records, document control, variation reporting, valuations, assisting in the site records & document control

  • Liaise with & commercially influence/challenge site management team whilst maintaining & protecting JSS commercial & contractual entitlement

  • Manage & oversee AQS & TQS, checking & taking responsibility for their work & sign-off SMM/measurement issues

    Experience as a Quantity Surveyor in build projects

  • Experience working on large Hosital/Health care scheme (ideal for one of the projects)

  • A relevant 3rd level qualification

  • Experience in report writing, forecast planning and engaging with clients and senior leaders

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
