Quality Manager

We are now seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to deliver consistent quality across the business.

The QA Manager will be responsible for achieving high levels of quality at every stage of the process including goods in, production and finished goods, ensuring processes and specifications are adhered to.

The role will also focus on meeting customer requirements, implementing BRC standards and encouraging good manufacturing processes throughout.,

• Management of the QA team


• Assisting in internal audits


• Active member of HACCP team


• Responding to customer requests


• Handling customer complaints and root cause investigations


• Investigating and reporting on product returns


• Technical testing as required in both the laboratory and warehouse


• Liaising with suppliers, customers and colleagues at all levels


• Use of standard computer packages


• Assisting in improvements to the QMS


• Recording of results and report writing
  
  Experience of managing / supervising staff


• Understanding of BRC standards


• Internal systems auditing experience (trained auditor preferable)


• Experience of dealing with customers and suppliers


• Working against procedures and specifications


• Experience of customer and BRC audits


Skills

• The ability to communicate effectively


• High level of accuracy and attention to detail


• Proven track record of team management


• Experience of Word, Excel and PowerPoint


• Experience in SAP would be an advantage


• The ability to plan and prioritise workload


• The ability to work alone but also to be a team player


• At least level 2 HACCP, Quality assurance: 5 years (required)


• Team management: 2 years (required)


• HACCP: 3 years (required)
