    We have an exciting opportunity in our UK finance Treasury team in Filton, Bristol for a Public Funding Accountant.

    You will be joining a small, friendly team responsible for the financial management of Government and EU grants. You will also be working in close liaison, as a business partner, with the business development and partnerships team, as well as other finance and engineering teams. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work transnationally alongside internal and external stakeholders (for example EU commission, UK Department for Business and Trade and partner research institutions).

    HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM
  • Responsible for the preparation of cost statements for Government and EU grant claims

  • Leading finance reviews with project managers and contract managers

  • Supporting contract managers and project managers with proposal bids

  • Complete monthly reporting and reconciliations

  • Supporting the forecasting process

  • External auditor and funding body liaison

    Strong analytical skills

  • Ability to work autonomously

  • Strong spreadsheet skills

  • Previous experience in an accounting, controlling or project management role preferred, This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company's success, reputation and sustainable growth.
