Product Manager (12 month FTC, Maternity Cover)

We are looking for an enthusiastic Product Manager to join our team to help us continue to grow and evolve our product proposition. This role is maternity cover for 12 months FTC., You will be expected to:

• Work collaboratively as part of a cross-functional team to deliver value to customers be they internal clients, shareholders or end users


• Gain knowledge of market, users, competitors, shareholders commercial priorities and YouView's strategic business objectives to drive collaborative ideation, prototyping, and testing to identify the product features which deliver the best value for YouView, our shareholders and consumers


• Be accountable for feature success metrics and understanding how newly released functionality performs against its intended objectives


• Work alongside Product Design and the Data and Insights team to understand how our users are engaging with the service to identify opportunities to improve and problem areas to address


• Manage relationship with our customers to ensure we deliver against their business objectives and metrics


• Break down requirements into epics and user stories, building up details as the start of the sprint approaches.


• Own, prioritise and maintain the team product backlog and acting as the single custodian for product requirements


• Carry out agile ceremonies including backlog refinement, sprint planning and retros


• Quickly and effectively manage and resolve issues as they arise, ensuring that internal and external stakeholders are fully updated where appropriate


• Support the operational readiness and roll out of features to customers


• Present iterative progress across the organisation


• Define and prioritise non-functional requirements to deliver the best possible product that meets the level of quality YouView sets in the market
  
  A strong understanding of agile product development methodologies and product life-cycle management.


• A proven track record of guiding product features successfully from initial concept through to launch.


• A solid grasp of the UK market landscape for digital media products, including consumer attitudes and interactions.


• Experience crafting and communicating compelling product concepts to diverse audiences, including technical and commercial stakeholders.


• A background in collaborating with research and design teams to identify user challenges, refine concepts, and conduct usability testing.


• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a software development team in the role of Product Manager.


• Ability to simplify complex problems into manageable components and evaluate systematically.

YouView is an on-demand TV service with over 70 live digital channels. A range of quality content is available via on demand players from Netflix, Now TV, Milkshake!, UKTV Play, STV and S4C. YouView has record, pause and rewind TV functionality as well as a simple search and more.
