Full Job Description

We have an opening for an Office Administrator who will be located at our head Office in Rayleigh, Essex as part of a small, but very busy team supporting the Design and Construction Director in delivering our projects to the highest standards.

You will not be managing staff but will be an integral part of a small management team, supporting each member., The successful candidate will be required to help manage the day to day running of the office which may include working alone and you will need to have excellent resourcing skills and the ability to prioritise your daily/weekly jobs.

This will include but not be exclusive to:

  • First point of contact for clients, sub-contractors, suppliers etc

  • Office/Project Administration

  • Answer incoming calls and respond accordingly

  • Action incoming mail - post and email

  • Provide all required information to the accounts manager to enable the timely issue of project invoices

  • Ensure that we remain GDPR compliant by acting as the companies Data Protection Officer

  • Ensure that all company policies are reviewed regularly and updated as required

  • Assist in the procurement of all materials

  • Prepare quotes/tenders for new projects

  • Management of site operations and handover of projects.

  • Liaison between site and office

    Previous experience in the Construction Sector would be an advantage but not essential., Be able to prioritise workloads and have the ability to multi-task and work within a busy office, as well as handling confidential information.

  • Be prolific in the full Microsoft Office Package and Windows 10 operating systems

  • Ideally have a basic working knowledge of Sage accounts package

  • Have excellent numerical ability

  • Have good communication skills and be able to work alone on your own initiative or as part of a team with an approachable and friendly manner

  • Be located near Rayleigh, Essex

  • To conduct themselves professionally/respectfully at all times

  • To be friendly, presentable, self-motivated and ultimately take pride in and be responsible for their work., A-Level or equivalent (required)

    Salary will be paid under PAYE and includes 20 day holidays plus bank holidays
