Full Job Description

The Spinney Day Nursery is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and staff within the nursery. The nursery expects all staff, volunteers and visitors to share in this commitment.

This means that we have The Spinney Day Nursery child protection and safeguarding policy and procedures in place and all staff, including supply staff, volunteers and visitors must ensure that they are aware of these procedures.

Parents will find a copy of the policy and procedures on our website and in the entrance hall.

Sometimes we may need to share information and work in partnership with other agencies when there are serious concerns about a child's welfare. We will also ensure that our concerns about our children within the nursery will be discussed with his or her parents first unless we have a reason to believe that such a move would be contrary to the children's welfare.

Our Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) is Miss Emma Archer and our Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead is Mrs Lisa Edwards.

  • An ability to organise a 4 weekly menu and to prepare an online weekly shop.

  • Must have own transport and clean drivers licence.

  • An ability to work as part of a nursery team.

  • Wage, hourly rate will depend on qualification and experience.
