Management Accountant - Lifecycle

The Management Accountant - Lifecycle will play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate financial management and reporting of a key part of our business. Your primary responsibilities will revolve around controlling fees applied to customer bills and ensuring complete cost recovery. This role offers an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to maximise commercial benefit and minimise commercial risk through control and insight.,

• Take ownership of the accurate and timely reporting all costs and opportunities associated with Lifecycle charges (e.g. late payment fees, exit fees, legal fees, etc), including tracking of spend to budgets.


• Monitor and manage the financial performance of lifecycle including ensuring all costs incurred are fully passed on to customers where possible.


• Complete key month end accounting and analysis tasks in relation to entire Lifecycle P&L.


• Develop and maintain financial controls to ensure we are fully in control of ensuring we maximise commercial benefit and minimise commercial risk in relation to the Lifecycle P&L.


Performance Analysis and Control:

• Analyse Lifecycle financial performance metrics, such as overall Lifecycle spend vs revenue generated, to assess effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.


• Utilise financial data and key performance indicators to ensure budget expectations will be met and variances understood.


• Collaborate with internal teams to optimise Lifecycle performance and drive mutual business success.


• Ensure monitoring and compliance with any regulatory guidelines, and internal policies.


Team Collaboration:

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including billing, other parts of finance, and operations, to align Lifecycle management strategies with overall business objectives.


• Provide insight and guidance to support internal stakeholders responsible for Lifecycle management and performance improvement activities., 24 days annual leave + bank holidays

• Proven experience in management accounting, or a similar role within the energy sector.


• Strong understanding of financial principles, including budgeting, forecasting, and risk management.


• Advanced Excel skills


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with external partners and internal stakeholders.


• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret financial data and make data-driven decisions.


• Knowledge of Energy industry and customer billing processes.


• Highly organized with excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and self-motivate.
