Full Job Description

Location: North Yorkshire, with the flexibility over agreeing which one of our Council Offices locations the role is based from, with hybrid working opportunities and a requirement to cover the North Yorkshire area for hearings and meetings.

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who can provide support to the team members within the Property, Planning and Environment legal team with regard to a wide

range of legal matters, but with a focus on property (commercial and residential).

This interesting role will involve supporting on a variety of different matters such as sales and acquisitions of property, auctions, leases and academy conversions, with opportunities to develop your own case load in line with your experience. You may also have the opportunity to be involved in work across the wider team. Ideally you will

· Demonstrate knowledge of property legislation and associated guidance

· Have experience of working in a legal environment

· Have good communication skills

· Have a working knowledge of HMLR/SDLT procedures and case management systems

· Be able to use legal research tools

The Legal Service is part of Legal and Democratic Services ('LDS').
