Learning Assistant Level 2 + SEN

Oakdene Primary School require a Learning Assistant Level 2 Plus SEN allowance from September 2024

The post is for 30 hours, term time only + 5 INSET Days. The post is attached to external funding and will cease if the child leaves the School or if the funding is stopped, the post will continue if funding is provided. The post will be reviewed annually.

Oakdene School would like to appoint a caring, thoughtful, pro-active Learning Support Assistant who will support children with Special Educational needs at our friendly and welcoming school. You will work with teachers to raise the learning and attainment of pupils while also promoting pupil independence, self-esteem and social inclusion. You will assist pupils so they can access the curriculum, participate in learning and experience a sense of achievement.

The duties will include the following:

• Supporting Children with Special Educational needs in the classroom.


. Supporting individual children or small groups of children in all subjects.
. Providing medical support as required.

• Providing administrative support to teaching staff including provision of displays and record keeping.


• Promotion of our School Values.


• Establishing positive relationships with parents/carers.


• Supporting extra-curricular activities and events.
