Full Job Description
- Lead and contribute towards a range of analytical projects within the team whilst ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of these projects by delegating effectively to peer analysts and offshore teams.
- Contribute to and have influence on the project planning process, liaising with line manager and stakeholders on a regular basis.
- Prioritise planned activity, whilst effectively managing and challenging requests for unplanned or ad-hoc work.
- Positively support the vision and strategy of the department, working with the Senior Leadership Team to engage and motivate more junior team members and peers.
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements: - You should have an analytical mindset with the ability to manage complex queries and metrics
- You should be a competent communicator, able to explain analytical conclusions to a non-analytical audience
- Some experience within a Retail Credit Risk or analytics department in a large financial institution (or equivalent in other industries) is essential.
- SQL and/or SAS programming. Capable of writing complex macros, data extraction queries, producing structured analysis datasets and performing statistical analyses and tests against the data.

These opportunities can be based across Leeds, Birmingham, Chester & Sheffield with Hybrid working from home.
