Full Job Description

The Internal Communications Executive will assist the Internal Communications Manager in executing the internal communication strategy, utilising best practice. Operating as a subject matter expert, you will be responsible for planning and creating internal content that tells compelling stories, acting as a key driver to employee engagement.,

  • Work in partnership with numerous teams in a multinational company to ensure communications reflect the culture, values and branding of the business.

  • Champion the internal communication strategy for effective and engaging messaging.

  • Effectively coordinate the sharing of information for all relevant stakeholders.

  • Support the Employee Engagement Forum by sharing information, producing event reports and celebrations.

  • Work in partnership with multiple departments to ensure the intranet is an up-to-date, engaging and content rich platform.

  • Act as an advocate for the intranet day-to-day, supporting content editors and regularly liaising with our external partner.

  • Maintain close collaboration with our IT Services team to assist in the administration and maintenance of internal comms channels.

  • Assist in the production of the My OGI Focus online magazine.

  • Assist the Internal Communications Manager with preparations for Business Updates and other group events.

  • Assist in the development and communication of policy and other people-related documents.

  • GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent) at grade C or above (essential).

  • BA degree in journalism, media, communications, or a related field (essential).


  • Experience
  • Proven experience in a similar role within a communications environment.

  • Production of creative and engaging internal marketing material.

  • Working with a range of communications tools.

  • Engagement activity communications.

  • Working with a company intranet.

  • Marketing (advantageous).


  • Skills
  • A passion for communications, information and engagement; effectively able to find, write and successfully promote a story.

  • Strong communication across a range of mediums to a wide range of stakeholders.

  • Strong creative design utilising the Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft 365 programmes.

  • Design of employee engagement collateral.

  • IT and Sharepoint management.

  • Administration.
