Full Job Description

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive insurance strategy aligned with SEERPIC objectives.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to procure insurance coverage and support risk retention strategies.

  • Lead tender processes and ensure optimal placements for SEERPIC.

  • Manage external relationships with service providers to ensure quality and delivery.

  • Drive risk management processes and mitigate potential threats.

  • Provide leadership and direction to SEERPIC Insurance Managers/Officers.

  • Identify and implement improvements for operational efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Maintain awareness of market developments and regulatory requirements., Our head offices are located at Martlesham and Wymondham. As a Hybrid worker you will have the ability to work from home, and a significant amount of meetings will be via MS Teams, but travel across all ten forces will be required for meeting attendance

  • This post is advertised across all ten police forces making up SEERPIC - Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex, Kent, Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, Cambridge, Thames Valley, Sussex, and Surrey. The employing force will be the force most geographically favourable to the successful candidate. Salary and terms and conditions are awarded in line with the employing force's existing pay structure.

  • Whilst the role is normally based at the aforementioned locations, you will be required to work at other establishments within the SEERPIC region, as may be reasonably required. Police Staff Conditions of Service will be adhered to in such instances.

  • All duties must be carried out in accordance with relevant Health and Safety legislation and good practice. A 'No Smoking in the Work Place' policy applies.

  • All duties must be carried out in a manner that supports the Constabulary's commitment to equality and inclusion.

  • Vetting is required to Management Vetting (MV) level, as advised by the vetting unit.

    We are looking for a dynamic and experienced insurance lead, committed to delivering excellence across ten police forces. You should have a relevant professional qualification in insurance or risk management, along with experience in the general insurance sector. Excellent written and verbal communication skills will be key to building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders across multiple geographical areas.
