Full Job Description

You will be the College lead for digital innovation in the curriculum to raise the quality of education and the student experience. You will identify and evaluate emerging technologies and trends, and provide guidance and support to curriculum areas and teachers/assessors to deliver effective teaching and learning. Responsible for upskilling our people to effectively and safely use new and emerging technologies, including AI so that the quality of teaching and learning is consistently high when utilising technology., The College is exempt from the provisions of the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974, by virtue of the fact that postholders have access to children and young people, and to vulnerable adults.

In such circumstances, York College is legally entitled to ask applicants for details of all convictions, and cautions irrespective of whether they are 'spent' or 'unspent'. This means that you must disclose all convictions and cautions in your application.

2. Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Checks
We take the safety of our learners extremely seriously, and to ensure no unsuitable persons are employed, all successful candidates will be required to undertake an Enhanced DBS check, regardless of the role they undertake. For regulated roles (e.g. those roles providing teaching, training, instructing, advice and guidance, or supervision of children, or providing personal care to vulnerable adults) it is an offence to apply for the role if you are barred from engaging in regulated activity relevant to children or to vulnerable adults.

An experienced teacher who can evidence outstanding practice in the classroom, you will have a strong track record of utilising digital technologies including delivery of teaching using Ed Tech, and experience of leading and delivering successful digital innovation within an education setting. You will also be a strong communicator able to affect change in a sensitive and supportive fashion which results in tangible improvements to teaching, learning and assessment.

Salary: c£50,000 per annum. Plus generous benefits, including:
