Full Job Description

Apprenticeship standards are aimed at developing skills within the Apprentices chosen career route, each standard has set knowledge, skills and behaviours required to be successful within the job role. This will include the completion of functional skills in Maths and English if required. Once the apprentice has completed a minimum of 12 months training and the employer and Inspiro Learning regional trainer confirm they have met all the requirements of the standard they will be put through to end point assessment. The end point assessment is independent from the training and includes a variety of assessment methods which test the skills and knowledge of the apprentice to ensure they are fully competent in their role. Each Apprentice will be supported throughout the apprenticeship by a structured programme of teaching, e-learning, face to face training and workplace mentoring; this will encourage and help them to meet the requirements of the new standards and will
prepare them for the end of point assessment.

In collaboration with Inspiro, this year we will start our Marriott Culinary Academy. Offering qualifications in level 2, Commis Chef or Production Chef, and level 3, Senior Production Chef. The qualification will take 14 to 16 months before your end-point-assessment.

You will join us this summer, with orientation days happening in September.

· Functional skills. Focusing on professional behaviour, organisational culture, kitchen safety specification, standards & quality and preparation & cooking methods

· You will also learn how to use technology in the kitchen and gain knowledge in all food groups (from pastry, to fish, vegetables, pasta, meat, soups, and more)

· Nutrition.

Inspiro has been working successfully with Marriott for many years delivering work-based learning programmes that lead to a nationally recognised qualification. Inspiro delivers the assessment, mentoring and guidance required for the Apprenticeship, which is carried out by Inspiro's Vocational Learning Advisors (VLA) within your workplace. This means that there is no need for you to spend time away from your job in a classroom or at college.
