Full Job Description

  • The role of a Conference & Banqueting Assistant involves supporting the operations within this service area to Hand Picked Hotels standards ensuring high standards of presentation are always maintained.

  • Responsible for the set-up and take-down of equipment (tables, chairs, props, decorations) ensuring timely delivery and ability to carry and move heavy items.

  • You will be expected to be able to hold a good level of knowledge regarding food menu items and availability across all areas including the bar and restaurant.

  • Working towards the achievement of departmental goals, contributing ideas and being open to trying new ways of working. Take personal ownership, operating within role parameters.

  • As the Conference & Banqueting Assistant, you will be expected to communicate and delegate in line with business levels and daily functions and events.

    We are currently recruiting for a Conference & Banqueting Assistant at Rhinefield House Hotel, part of Hand Picked Hotels.
    Known locally as the 'Jewel in the Forest', Rhinefield House is an award-winning luxury hotel steeped in natural beauty, hidden deep within the New Forest National Park. Rhinefield House is proud to be the only AA four red star hotel in the New Forest. The hotel has 50 bedrooms, including three feature suites, an outdoor pool, a small health suite and a 2 AA Rosette fine dining restaurant & bar. It is a popular wedding and Afternoon Tea venue with beautiful gardens and grounds.

  • A competitive salary package of £30,305.60 per year, additional hours will be paid at the hourly rate of £14.57 plus a share of service charge.

  • This is a Full-Time role working 5 days out of 7 including weekends on a rota basis, 40 hours per week, which may vary depending on business needs.
