Full Job Description

This role will involve both media planning and account management with a focus on print media as the core media channel. 80% of your time will be spent planning print media campaigns to include door drops and newspaper inserts with the remaining 20% covering OOH and radio.

While situated in our London office, this role focuses on managing clients and media contacts in Ireland, making a familiarity with the Irish market and culture highly beneficial. You will take ownership of client relationships and media contacts based in Ireland and report into the Client Director of the Irish agency who sits in Dublin whilst being part of the broader team in London.

You will drive excellence in client service, providing the best in day to day account management. You'll restlessly seek improvements to processes and media plans, innovation in activity and opportunities to connect with consumers in ways that are meaningful for our clients. You'll always be on the lookout for new opportunities that are in the best interest of the clients to deepen our relationships and increase client GP (Gross Profit).

You will be an experienced planner or account manager within a media agency background and possess excellent client handling skills.

Requirements

Main Accountabilities:

  • Excellent account management skills:


  • Establish yourself as the day-to-day lead for your clients' business

  • Consistently build a better and deeper understanding of our clients and share these insights with the team

  • Deliver on TSW's reputation of consistently meeting and exceeding client expectations

  • Build a deep and strong relationship with day to day client contacts, understand their business challenges; acting upon client feedback

  • Anticipate and resolve client challenges by quickly identifying opportunities and threats. Understand when to escalate to the Client Director

  • Own all client-facing reports & Post- Campaign Analysis

  • Own the 'Now, New, What's Possible' agenda for your clients


  • Strategic media planning skills:
  • Your research and strategic media planning skills will shine through. You will interrogate client briefs and contribute research to support the planning process from briefing through to campaign evaluation (this may include competitor analysis/audience reporting) to significantly contribute to high-quality innovative and creative responses.

  • Help to establish best practice through the planning process leading to greater innovation and creativity

  • Work with the senior team to develop client strategies and annual planning

  • Ensure a defined client strategy is effectively realised through in channel implementation.

  • Begin to demonstrate the ability to tell compelling stories through client documents


  • Commercial skills:
  • Display excellent commercial awareness, both in terms of client and agency commercial pressures as well as keeping up to date on industry news and 'what's new' in the Media world

  • Identify opportunities for cross selling TSW services

  • Meaningfully contribute to new business and pitches

  • Own the sign-off process with support from team

    Experience in a media agency

  • Ideally has knowledge or experience of the Irish advertising landscape


  • Experience in print media planning would be beneficial and knowledge of ATL channels such as TV, Radio, OOH would also be useful (not essential)

  • Strong analytical skills/experience interrogating both soft and hard data to produce insights

  • Experience managing day to day client interactions and presenting to senior client stakeholders

  • A grasp of basic attribution is expected, and a broad understanding of the overall comms marketing mix beyond media

  • Experience of working with external agencies (Creative/BTL)

  • Highly organised, with the ability to multi-task

  • A good understanding of Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel

  • A good team player that also has the initiative to work on their own.
