Full Job Description

You will be carrying out the professional duties of a class teacher and as such will provide the provision of an appropriate learning experience for all students under the guidance of the Assistant Principal(s) to include:

  • planning and delivering lessons to pupils with communication and interaction needs

  • assessing and monitoring the specific needs of the pupils with SEN

  • working as part of a team to secure the best possible outcomes for pupils.

    You will not need to have experience working in a SEN provision, but must demonstrate a thorough understanding of SEN. You will be qualified to degree level (or equivalent), be able to demonstrate knowledge of effective strategies to meet the specific communication needs of pupils with significant SEND, and must be able to plan lessons effectively for groups and all the pupils.


  • You will have successful teaching experience in primary education., All applicants must have due regard for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, and this will be assessed as part of the recruitment and selection process. If you are successful you will be required to comply with the Trust's safeguarding policies and procedures.

    An Enhanced Disclosure via the Disclosure and Barring Service will be required for all posts. All completed applications must be submitted by the closing date and time detailed below.
