For those who want a career in Finance, working in a SME business gives you a broad level of financial and business experience that is often harder to access in larger organisations. Initially the role may be narrower to match experience, and with progression will expand into the responsibilities highlighted below.

We are looking for a forward-thinking individual with excellent communication skills. This candidate should be proactive and striving to grow and succeed with the organisation.

Role and responsibilities:

· Responsibility for the Creditors process.

· Assisting with compiling and checking of payment runs.

· Supporting Payroll and staff expenses ready for payment.

· Allocating payments and reconciling accounts to support the Month End process.

· Maintaining Fixed Assets Register.

· Preparation of accruals and prepayments for Month End.

· Managing Soldo and credit card transactions.

· Monitoring the Accounts mailbox and processing the contents.

· Supporting the Debtors process.

· Assisting in the preparation of the month end accounts and commentary.

· Balance Sheet reconciliations.

· Supporting budgeting and forecasting process.

· VAT submissions.

· Supporting preparation of the RDEC claim.

· Supporting the annual audit and preparation of statutory accounts.

· Any other projects and tasks as reasonably requested.

· Preferably qualified to degree level.

· Pre-existing experience in an account's environment desirable but not necessary.

· Optional experience with the following: Xero, Soldo, ApprovalMax & Auto Entry.

· A critical attention to detail.

· Driven and ambitious to resolve tasks.

· Proficient user with Microsoft programmes such as Excel.

· A team player who is willing to support on a variety of tasks.

· Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
