Assistant Accountant Apprentice SILVER CROSS (UK) LIMITED

This is an integral role within the Finance team working closely with the Finance Operations Manager, Management Accountants and visibility to the Head of Group Finance and Group CFO. The key duties would be the ownership of the UK company's purchase and sales ledgers, bank reconciliations, while assisting with month-end accounting processes.

• Post daily transactions from our company bank accounts into the accounting system


• Reconcile our accounting records with those of our UK retail chain customers and independent nursery stores supporting dispute resolution and credit control


• Support our e-commerce sales channel by managing and maintaining the payment supplier portals including managing payment disputes e.g. Klarna and PayPal


• Supplier invoice auditing to make sure we are charged correctly by our key suppliers


• Contribute to a smooth and efficient Finance Operations Month End close process


• Progress through the Finance Operations Training Matrix to learn all aspects of Finance Operations and for assisting on the month end close


The training you will be getting

The apprentice will be working towards their assistant accountant and AAT Level 3. They will attend their place of work 4 days per week and Craven College one day per week (Tuesdays).
