Activities Co-ordinator

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Activities co-ordinator to join our team. As an Activities co-ordinator, you will be responsible for planning and implementing engaging activities for residents in our care facility. Your role will contribute to the overall well-being and quality of life of our residents., Develop and implement a diverse range of activities to meet the physical, emotional, and social needs of our residents
- Coordinate and schedule activities, ensuring a variety of options are available to accommodate different interests and abilities
- Collaborate with staff, residents, and families to create a person-centered approach to activity planning
- Lead group activities such as games, crafts, exercise classes, and outings
- Provide one-on-one interaction with residents who may require individualized attention or have specific needs
- Maintain accurate records of activity participation and resident engagement
- Ensure the safety and well-being of residents during all activities
- Stay up-to-date with current trends in senior care and dementia care to enhance the activity program

Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and staff
- Genuine care and compassion for seniors in a nursing home or assisted living setting
- Knowledge of dementia care principles and strategies
- Creativity in designing engaging activities that cater to various interests and abilities
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple activities and schedules

Qualifications:
- Previous experience in senior care or related field preferable but not essential

£11.50 an hour - Full-time
