Full Job Description

0-5 hours / month A board meeting and committee meeting every 3 months, about 4 hours, plus time to work on projects or attend events (ad-hoc), As a trustee, you'll play a crucial role in shaping the future of our organisation. We're looking for someone passionate about making a positive impact and committed to our cause. You can contribute in one or more of the following areas:
1. Fundraising trustee: Help us secure vital funds to expand our programs and reach more individuals.
2. Life/ lived experience experience trustee
3. Online Promotion: Use your digital expertise to raise awareness about our work through social media, newsletters, and online campaigns.
4. Marketing: Develop creative strategies to promote our events, services, and initiatives.
5. General Trustee: Bring your skills and experience to the table, supporting overall governance and decision-making.

Responsibilities:

  • Attend trustee meetings (usually quarterly) and actively participate in discussions - and get stuck in, be a doer.

  • Join on one of our sub-committee's.

  • Contribute to strategic planning and policy development, don't let the formality of this put you off, we'll bring that to life.

  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

  • Support fundraising efforts and help build strong relationships with donors.

  • Champion our mission and values.

    Marketing strategy

  • Social media marketing

  • Financial management

  • Fundraising events

  • Strategic development and planning, Enthusiasm for our cause and a commitment to improving the lives of people with learning disabilities and or autism is top of our list.

  • Relevant experience in fundraising, marketing, online communication, or general governance would be great, but attitude and general ability just as important.

  • Great communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

  • Willingness to dedicate time and energy to The Hive Avon.
