Full Job Description

All Saints' CE Primary School are looking for a Teaching Assistant Apprentice to join the team in September. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a great school whilst gaining a level 3 qualification.

Purpose of the role
Making a contribution to the smooth running of the School in line with vision and values, whilst being committed to their own learning and development. Ensuring safeguarding and welfare requirements have the highest priority and that young children's development is supported appropriately and effectively.

Role Responsibilities - Classroom Support

  • To prioritise the safety and wellbeing of children.

  • To meet the needs of pupils in relation to welfare, hygiene, toileting, dressing, feeding and mobility, whilst maintaining the child's dignity.

  • To assist in the development of independent social skills.

  • To assist in the supervision of set tasks for an individual/small group of pupils.

  • To contribute to the running of the Wraparound Care by working in Breakfast Club and After School Club on a rota basis.

  • To assist in preparation of resources and tidying away.

  • To assist with the maintenance of classroom equipment ensuring it is kept in a clean and tidy condition and reporting damages.

  • To assist in monitoring, displaying and the removal of work displays.

  • To report pupils problems/achievements to the teacher as necessary.

  • To undertake photocopying and routine clerical duties.

  • To report pupil absence to the school's nominated person.

  • To attend staff meetings / training as appropriate

  • To work within the school's policies and procedures

  • To take care of their own and others' Health & Safety

  • To maintain confidentiality regarding pupil / school information

  • To consistently promote a positive image of the School and to be an enthusiastic advocate for the School in the wider community
