Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our medical team at Bracknell Rugby Club. Our men's 1 XV competes in the National 3 Division leagues and we strive to provide the highest possible standard of treatment and care to not only our elite athletes and senior playing sides, but also ranging down to age grade levels. The successful candidate will contribute to this, taking on responsibilities during training sessions and match days.

The individual we are looking for is reliable, professional, and comfortable within a fast paced rugby environment. The position will be an integral part of the Bracknell Rugby Club medical team. High levels of communication will be required, reporting to the head of medical and working closely with the surrounding staff and multidisciplinary team.

This position is managed by the head of medical, with support and line management from the Director of Rugby and Head Coach. Support and learning opportunities are available through discussion and regular in-service training to assist and direct development, meeting CPD requirements.

The role will involve Saturday and/or Sunday match cover and training evenings - days to be discussed at interview.

Responsibilities include:
Injury assessments.
Planning and delivering rehabilitation programmes
Pitch side care.
Keeping accurate and up to date documentation of care provided.

BSc in Physiotherapy, Sports Therapy, or Rehabilitation.
Professional registration and insurance.
Pitch side trauma qualification (PHICIS or equivalent)
Competent in both structural and functional taping.
Sports Massage Level 3 (minimum)

Experience working within sport, preferably rugby.
