Senior / Design Engineer

o Covering all aspects of design using CAD packages

o Working with approval bodies and standards UK and European Union

o Working through the whole project life cycle - mechanical design, calculations all the way to the final product

We are currently looking for a Senior or Design Engineer who must be able to demonstrate the ability to work to the high standards set by the Company. The Senior or Design Engineer will ideally have experience in mechanical engineering and have knowledge of hydraulics and mobile electrics and will be working on projects - mainly designing rail maintenance machines., o Experience within an engineering environment would be advantageous

o Good communication skills

o Attention to detail

o Team player, BEng or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering would be beneficial.

G.O.S. Tool & Engineering Services Ltd. are a market leading manufacturer of Road Rail Vehicles (RRV's) and specialist rail infrastructure installation and maintenance equipment. Our range includes On Track Machines, Tracked and Wheeled Excavators, Flash Butt Welders, Rail Cranes, Box back and Flatbed Lorries; as well as a series of ancillary equipment including Lifting Beams, Sleeper Layers, Trailers and Rail Trolleys. The company also produces an assortment of wagon-based maintenance and amenity modules in our extensive fabrication, machine shop and assembly facilities.

Monday - Thursday 06:00 - 16:15 or 07:00 - 17:15 (1/2 Hr Lunch Unpaid)

Wages

The position is monthly paid, the salary will be confirmed (depending on experience).

Pension

The Company currently runs an auto-enrolment pension scheme with Royal London, with a total contribution being made of 9% (4.5% employee & 4.5% employer).
