Full Job Description

We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic individual to join our team supporting children with specialist SEND provision as a SEND Specialist Learning Support Assistant (LSA).

Our LSA team is made up of classroom LSAs who support classes in learning and SEND LSAs who support particular children with their needs; both under the supervision and support of our SEND Co-ordinator. The candidate we are looking for would not necessarily have experience being in a school but would match the following descriptors:

· Open and inquisitive to learn new skills in SEND education;

· Have a patient and understanding manner;

· Be able to communicate well - with fellow professionals, teachers, children and parents; and

· Have GCSE Grade C or above in English and Mathematics (or equivalent).

We have a knowledgeable and friendly senior team and school to support your work and your working life. The successful candidate will be offered training before starting the post and whilst undertaking the role.

The role is paid on pay scale 3 point 5-6 and is for 25 hours per week for the 38 weeks of term time only. The working hours are from 9:00 to 12:00 and 13:00 to 15:00 from Monday to Friday and the actual annual salary is in the range £13,278 to £13,500 per annum.
