Full Job Description

The Reservations Manager overseas the hotel bedroom booking team and works closely with the General Managers, Revenue Managers, Sales Team and Meeting & Events Teams.

This role is hands on and you will need to be able to make & update reservations from phone calls and emails, be proficient in extranet management and be prepared to lead by example, show excellent customer service skills and professionalism at all times. We are looking for a true team player. This is an office-based role at our central office which is open Monday - Friday 8am - 6pm so there are not normally any unsocial hours.

Main Responsibility

Cultivating a team who have a can-do attitude and who work smart through process and procedures. Your will be responsible effective running of the central hotel reservations department who make bedroom bookings for all hotels, including groups. You will ensure development of reservations sales-related opportunities and ensuring they are passed to the correct person, if you cannot deal with directly. Focus on training the Reservation Team Members of all levels to ensure they have the opportunity to succeed and grow with in the business. Through setting best practice, you will ensure your personal and team related revenue goals are achieved in conjunction with the wider commercial team. Ensure Reservations team are driving customer loyalty through enrolment and great customer service.

Other Duties

You will be responsible for onboarding your team, ensuring all HR forms and procedures are completed

This is an office-based role but you will be expected to familiarise yourself with the hotels with in the portfolio by visiting the hotels and will be invited to some events as a host .

You will liaise with other departments such as IT to ensure ids are set up and any faults are rectified etc

You will be tasked with taking part in commercial activities with the sales and revenue teams to develop and enhance the business

· You must have previous experience, 2 years min, working in a busy hotel reservations/sales office environment

· Opera / opera cloud experience is essential and will rule applicants out

· Concerto or Tars experience is desirable but training given

· Must be fluent in written and spoke English
