Full Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing procurement activities and ensuring the timely acquisition of goods and services.
Duties:
· Receiving deliveries and booking goods using company software
· Buying and ordering the correct parts required from suppliers
· Ensure an adequate supply of PPE is always maintained and accurate log of PPE equipment
· Maintain and manage the storeroom in line with the Health and Safety policy
· Monitor and forecasting deliveries for parts ordered
· Managing supplier relations and negotiating contracts, prices and timelines
· Prepare orders in store ready for the following days jobs by placing them into allocating trays for each engineer -
· Update company software regularly with supplier lists, part numbers and check price details are correct
· Receiving and signing allocated deliveries
· Manage fleet accidents, book repairs and chase excess claims when necessary.
Proven experience in negotiating contracts and agreements
- Familiarity with procurement systems, particularly Oracle EBS
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Knowledge of logistics and supply chain processes
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment,
- Fleet management: 1 year (preferred)
- Purchasing: 2 years (required)
- UK Driving license (required)
