Proposal Manager

The Proposal Manager within the Government Business Unit at AALTO plays a pivotal role in spearheading the creation and submission of proposals, primarily focusing on government procurement opportunities. This role demands close collaboration with the Head of Government Sales, necessitating engagement with clients and coordination among various internal departments. The Proposal Manager ensures seamless integration of inputs from engineering, legal, compliance, regulatory, flight operations, and finance teams to craft compelling proposals and facilitate contract negotiations. Additionally, post-contract award, they extend support to the Government Programmes Project Manager.,

• 
  Support the complete bid process under the overall guidance of the Chief Government, Regulatory & Engagement Officer.
  
  
• Collaborate with sales leaders to formulate clear win strategies for bids, emphasizing persuasive win themes.


• Efficiently manage proposal development, liaising with essential stakeholders such as sales, marketing, engineering, finance, legal, and regulatory teams.


• Address intricate technical, strategic, and business challenges encountered during the proposal lifecycle.


• Thoroughly prepare and scrutinize the commercial aspects of bids to ensure comprehensive inclusion of all products/services within the final price.



• Monitor and mitigate risks associated with bids, ensuring comprehensive risk management practices.



• Assume ownership of developing written proposals, meticulously focusing on content quality and presentation standards.


• Ensure strict adherence to internal governance protocols and meet designated timelines at each phase of the proposal process.



• Guarantee timely submission of proposals that adhere to compliance standards and demonstrate commercial viability.
  
  Demonstrable experience in creating and submitting proposals.


• Proficiency in functioning as either a prime or subcontractor.


• Experience of working within the government and defence procurement sector is preferable but not essential.


• Proven expertise in agility, commercial acumen, and risk management.


• Capability to effectively manage complex opportunities and navigate governance procedures.


• Exceptional teamwork and communication abilities, both internally and externally.


• Aptitude for direct engagement with customers as necessary.
