Full Job Description

Our mission, vision and contribution is to establish and implement digital transformation across the BBCs audience facing digital products; and your role will be key in supporting the successful Product delivery of our Digital First strategy. You'll be working closely with the Programme Manager, Lead Change Manager, Digital Transformation Lead and the CPO. The digital transformation project is a high profile project, which will be playing a key part in the Digital First Strategy. You will play a vital role, with real impact, managing the smooth progress of the transformation work within the PG Transformation team.

As the Project Manager that will be in charge of our engagement and comms for our new and special team you have the right approach and skill set. Ultimately your outlook is to solve problems for others and initiate solutions using your experience and skills to do so. The right person/people for our team will understand the nuance here.

Your work matters and you're really important to the success of our team. You will be responsible for coordinating and delivering engagement and communications within the Transformation project and out to the wider product group team and stakeholders.

  • Produce and manage a communication plan to deliver clear, positive and transparent communication inline with BBC values to keep our teams informed and motivated.

  • Help arrange and manage engagement sessions in Product Group that will help the team engage in the transformation work.

  • Create and maintain a stakeholder matrix of those working and involved in the Transformation project in Product Group, to set the cadence of when and how these stakeholders are communicated to.

  • Alongside the Change Manager create a communication strategy to support the leadership team to deliver clear, consistent and transparent communication.

  • Tailor communication activities to individual groups working across the project and deliver those activities.

  • Build relationships with team members to provide coaching/support .

  • Produce a framework for project team members which aligns with the communications plan on how/when to provide internal communication to stakeholders

    Strong project management skills from either a digital or technology product environment

  • Experience creating communications for a business or organisation unit going through a digital transformation

  • Copywriting and editing skills using a range of tools to deliver great communication (Slack, Teams, email etc)

  • Passionate about delivering great communication to support the employee experience

  • Experience in a busy, fast paced complex organisational environment undertaking a large scale transformation project

  • Ability to create and manage relationships at all levels

  • Provide mentoring/coaching to other team members to support their own internal communications

  • Ability to work with stakeholders at all levels and identify the right communication channel for their needs

    Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.
