Full Job Description

  • In your role as a Production Specialist you are responsible for optimising processes and technologies in the existing production systems by identifying and driving process improvements within the production area.

  • You will be responsible to identify issues to improve, utilising data mining to ensure problems are managed and corrected with robust methods to find the root causes. Optimising machining processes using CAM applications to create and modify NC programs for CNC machining centres will be part of this role.

  • Supporting new projects is integral to this role by providing lessons learnt with feedback and data to promote continuous improvements across the area.

  • Your responsibility will consist of ensuring handover of changes from the Planning department to ensure there is a smooth integration of new processes and technology.

  • Part of your remit will include consistency of quality in the throughput time and delivery conditions of all production materials.

  • You will be required to support enhancements to productivity and CIP through the introduction of robust and streamlining measures.

    Educated to minimum HNC or equivalent in engineering related discipline.

  • Proven ability in machining, assembly and test processes.

  • Ability to motivate and co-ordinate people and mobilise resources to achieve desired results is desirable.

  • Excellent analytical and reporting skills, with high level of personal commitment and motivation.

  • Experience in high volume manufacturing processes preferably within the automotive industry is beneficial.
